Summer has finally upon us and it’s time to rediscover the many joys associated with this magnificent season. One of these is certainly enjoying a good ice cream. Not only is it delicious, it can also alleviate the heat of long summer days.

Perhaps this is why we all associate pleasant memories with this delicacy: the ice cream you ate that evening on the beach, the one you enjoyed with the person you love so much, the gelato that accompanied the World Cup final.

To celebrate the true protagonist of an Italian summer, we thought we’d offer you a truly original recipe that uses a special ingredient, wheat germ!

 

Ingredients and method

  • Place in a jug:
    • 400 g of whole milk
    • 110 g of liquid cream
    • 120 g of granulated sugar
    • 40 g of powdered milk
    • 50 g of GranEssere Wheat Germ
    • a pinch of salt in a jug
  • Homogenize all the ingredients using a stick blender.
  • Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker.
  • Once churned, serve by sprinkling it with a little GranEssere Wheat Germ.
